GREENING TAUPŌ
Hilltop will celebrate Greening Day tomorrow. Students can wear green to school and bring a koha. All money raised will go towards allowing Greening Taupō and Kids Greening Taupō to continue with the great work that they do.

The staff-only day on Friday provides teachers with an opportunity to engage in further professional learning and moderate assessments to support end-of-term reporting to parents. As part of our day, staff will gather at 9:30 am to plant trees and check out the information stands as part of developing our local curriculum. The school has been fortunate to receive extensive support from Greening Taupo and Kids Greening Taupo over the years, including professional learning opportunities for our staff and education for our students.
Although the school is closed on Friday, students are invited to attend Greening Day at Crown Park with their parents from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm. Parents/whanau can take a photo of their child/ren at the event and send it to info@hilltop.org.nz with the child’s name and room number. These students will go in a draw to win prizes donated by Kids Greening Taupo. We will announce the winners at next week’s assembly.
Have a great week and enjoy the long weekend.
Ngā mihi nui,
