PRINCIPAL'S PERSPECTIVE
Andrea Hunter
Kia ora koutou,
Our school disco last week was a huge success! The Year 0-6 students had an incredible time dancing the night away, all thanks to DJ AJ and Pickle, who kept the energy high with great music and enthusiasm. It was a memorable night that truly strengthened the community spirit in our school. A huge thank you goes out to the PTA, Friends of the PTA, and everyone who lent a hand to make it all possible!

Our Year 7 & 8 students also enjoyed their social, with a special surprise—a live band! Ashley, Sam, and Paris from False Heights took the stage, performing a fantastic set that had students singing and dancing along.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to making these events such a success.
On the same evening as the disco, Hilltop hosted a teacher sharing session for the Taupō Environmental Collaborative. Local teachers shared the environmental education projects they’ve been working on this year, and the event concluded with a tour of Hilltop’s restoration sites (outside Rooms 5/6, Room 20/21, and the butterfly garden by the senior school). It was a wonderful opportunity to showcase the work our students and teachers have been doing. Teachers left feeling inspired for next year, equipped with great ideas to take back to their schools!
