PRINCIPAL'S PERSPECTIVE
Andrea Hunter
Kia ora koutou,
Congratulations to all of the tamariki/children who participated in the the Taiopenga Festival yesterday. The performance was outstanding and I felt very proud of our school. Huge thanks to Andrea Watts and Matua Grant for supporting our students with this performance. The school had approximately 120 students in each group. Thank you also to all the staff who worked behind the scenes with organisation - costumes, hair piece, moko and supervision. We are fortunate to have a great team who ensure our students are able to participate in this prestigious cultural event.

Uniform at Hilltop School
As the term draws to an end and we get ready for Term 4, we remind our community that students are expected and encouraged to take pride in their general appearance. Our school uniform contributes to the tone and atmosphere of the school, encourages a sense of belonging and confidence in children, and enables parents to ensure equity in dress.
The school uniform is compulsory for all students who are enrolled and attend Hilltop School. Next term students are required to wear the school sunhat.
Full details about our school uniform can be found here. When students are observed wearing the incorrect uniform on consecutive days, a notice will be sent through Hero informing parents/caregivers so that this can be remedied.
