Kia ora koutou,
Our Kapa Haka students have been practicing hard for the performance at the Taoipenga Festival next Tuesday. A special thanks to Bonnar Hall, Will Hunter, Harry MacLeod, Charlie Tatere, Eden Coomber, Harlan Vadnjal and Hui Harvey-Rameka - who were a huge help supporting teina roopu/group with learning their haka. These boys were a huge help to Mrs Watts and Matua Grant.

If your child is in Kapa Haka, please read the information sent out via HERO this week regarding the organisation on the day. With almost 240 students participating in the festival, there is a lot of organisation that goes on behind the scenes so please ensure you have read the information sent out so that you know what is required on performance day. The information is also included in today’s newsletter. The code for the live feed will be sent out on Friday so that whanau who can’t attend are able to watch it online.
Thank you to the parents/caregivers who attended the parent information evening on Structured Literacy last Wednesday evening. Mary-anne pulled the name out of the kete and the winner of the $50 voucher goes to Kirsteen McDonald.
The students of whanau who attended the evening will have a morning tea provided before the term ends. Our teaching teams were very competitive when it came to displaying some of the resources they use to teach literacy!
We have decided to have a whole school Literacy Mufti Day to coincide with the Pizza Day - next Thursday 14 September.
Have a great week!
