Tonight - Structured Literacy - Parent/Whanau Session
We are looking forward to our parent/whanau Structured Literacy information evening tonight, facilitated by Kirsty Tatere from Liz Kane Literacy. Parents/whanau will learn about the structured literacy approach here at Hilltop School.
To support families, we will provide childcare for those who require it. Please email james@hilltop.org.nz if you require childcare including the number of children who will be attending. Parents/whanau who attend will be entered into a prize draw, with a chance to win vouchers worth $50 for Brand Fuel, Pak n Save, or a credit to your child’s school account. Additionally, the class with the highest parent attendance will receive a special prize…of a class mufti day and morning tea provided by the school.
Taiopenga Tūwharetoa 2023 - Tūwharetoa Festival - Tuesday 12th September
Students have been practicing hard for our performance at Taiopenga which is coming up in two weeks time. The performance times are as follows:
Teina- Maunga Tauhara, Pīhanga and Tongariro (Year 1,2,3) perform at 11.15 am
Tuakana- Maunga Titiraupenga, Ruapehu and Ngaruahoe (Year 4,5,6,7,8) at 1.20 pm
Gold coin koha/donation at the Taupō Events Centre.
Get there well before the performance time to get in because the doors close between school performances.
All Year 1,2,3,4 and 5 girls need their own plain black skirt and all boys need plain black rugby-type shorts and that they need to be given to their classroom teacher in a paper bag with their name and class number written on the bag. You might like to cover any small labels with black insulation tape, thanks.
